Tourist Information for the Out-of-towners!

Note: Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon are intentionally left open so out-of-towners can sleep late or enjoy some of Tucson's attractions. Consider any of the following: a hike in Sabino or Pima Canyon; tennis; golf; yoga; museums; shopping; relax!

Highly recommended:

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum - (2021 N. Kinney Road, Northwest of gorgeous Gates Pass). The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a world-renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden. Check out the hummingbird aviary, and those cute little prairie dogs! A must-see when in town.

Biosphere 2 - (Oracle Road at mile marker 96.5; 20 minutes north of Tucson). Biosphere 2 is one of the largest living laboratories in the world. It is an air tight greenhouse covering 3.15 acres and 7.2 million cubic feet of volume. Within Biosphere 2 are several different biomes which researchers use to experiment on Earth systems on a relatively large scale. Inside Biosphere 2 is a rainforest, a million gallon salt water ocean, a coastal fog desert, and four other wilderness ecosystems. A must-see when in town; most hotels have discount coupons for up to 6 people.

Pima Air-Space Museum - (6000 East Valencia Road). This museum is collection of over 250 historic and vintage aircraft and spacecraft, occupying more than 150 acres of land.
