  • "SCD Share A Recipe"! Bring an SCD-legal recipe and we will include it in the Conference Proceedings! Please limit your SCD recipe to one typed page; you may also submit it on a floppy disk. Drop your recipe in the "Conference Proceedings Drop-box".

  • Conference "Lessons Learned". Share a lesson or a best practice regarding the SCD or your intestinal health experiences and we will include it in the Conference Proceedings! Help others benefit from your experiences and avoid the challenges you may have faced. Please limit your Lesson Learned to one typed or hand-written page; you may also submit it on a floppy disk. Drop your lesson or best practice in the "Conference Proceedings Drop-box" by 3:00 PM for it to be included in the proceedings distribution on Sunday.

  • Panel discussion on intestinal health. A round-table of panelists with Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, Celiac disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), and chronic constipation will answer a set of questions presented to them by a moderator. The questions will be focused on diagnosis, past history, and level of satisfaction with current treatment(s).

  • General Question & Answer session. Immediately following the Panel discussion, attendees will be able to ask questions of the panelists. Attendees will be encouraged to capture what they felt and learned, and to share this information with others through the Lessons Learned submissions (above).

  • Personal habits intestinal health workshop. The purpose of this "Birds of a Feather" panelist-moderated workshop is to form a support network and work to achieve greater awareness of the changes one can make during 2002 to improve one's own intestinal health. Use this workshop to identify and prioritize changes you can make in 2002 to improve your own intestinal health!

  • Workshop: benefits of self-administered acupressure to aid intestinal health. Tucson-based yoga instructor and acupressure expert Lucy Ann McWilliams will conduct a hands-on workshop to teach you about acupressure and show you how to use acupressure to aid healthy digestion.

  • Discussion: benefits of colon hydrotherapy. Tucson-based colon hydrotherapist Sheila Shea, M.A., L.M.T., B.F.A will host a discussion about the combined benefits of colon hydrotherapy and diet upon intestinal health.
