  Dogs, Cats, and IBD

Yes, it is possible for our beloved pets to have IBD. It is undoubtedly caused by the quality of the food they are fed. Here are some links to useful sites. Special thanks to Deborah (and her dog Max) for providing these links!

  Garbage in, garbage out...

Question from one listserve pet owner:
"Could you tell me more about what Max eats and the diet he's on? My parents have tried everything for this dog, and we don't want him to be on prednisone forever."

Answer:
"Of course you don't!!!! Max eats BARF - Biologically Appropriate Raw Food (also Bones And Raw Food).

You should get at least one book on feeding BARF... Either "Give Your Dog A Bone" by Dr. Ian Billinghurst, or The Ultimate Diet by Kymythy Schultze are excellent books which explain how to feed a good raw diet, and both are available at www.dogwise.com ...
